March films at the Volunteer Hall

Duns Community Cinema will show two recent releases at the Hall on Friday 16 March:

5.30pm   Early Man
Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures and woolly mammoths roamed the earth, Early Man tells how a plucky caveman unites his tribe against the mighty Bronze Age army in a battle to beat them at their own game. Nick Park’s first feature film since Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Run time 89 minutes (PG).

8.00pm   The Shape of Water
Winner of four Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director. An other-worldly fairy tale from Guillermo del Toro, set in Cold War era America. In the high-security government lab where she works, Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of isolation. But then Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment. Run time 123 minutes (15). Licensed bar.
