January films at the Volunteer Hall

Duns Community Cinema will show two recent releases at the Hall on Friday 18 January:

5.30pm  Mary Poppins Returns
The mysterious Mary Poppins returns to Depression-era London to visit Jane and her brother Michael, now a father of three, and helps them rediscover the joy they knew as children. The cast, led by Emily Blunt, includes Meryl Streep, Emily Mortimer and Ben Whishaw. Run time 130 minutes (U).

8.00pm  Bohemian Rhapsody
A celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound. Run time 134 minutes (12A). Licensed bar.
