February films at the Volunteer Hall

Duns Community Cinema will show two recent releases at the Hall on Friday 9 February:

5.30pm  Coco 
Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colourful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector, and together they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. Run time 105 minutes (PG).

8.00pm  The Greatest Showman
An original musical inspired by the life of P.T. Barnum, starring Hugh Jackman. Barnum was a visionary who rose from nothing to create the “Greatest Show on Earth,” a spectacle and celebration of his larger-than-life imagination that captivated audiences around the globe. Run time 105 minutes (PG). Licensed bar.
